Know your product. If you don't know the product you're advertising—and I mean really know it—your audience won't know it either, especially when they come across an ad for it. The more you understand your product, the better you can advertise it to your potential customers. So know it inside and out - not just what it does, but how it solves customer problems, the value it delivers, and what sets it apart from the competition. As simple as that. 3. Understand your customers. Philippines Photo Editor Knowing your customers sounds simple enough, but it takes a lot of work. The more you understand your customers, the more you will understand the wants and needs of your audience. Here are some examples of things we can learn about our customers: their specific use cases the business goals they are trying to achieve firmography (industry, location, company size, etc.) The list is endless. All of this data can be used in messaging for ads, landing pages, and even demo conversations for your sales team. With more information about your customers, you can reach your target audiences even more easily. Philippines Photo Editor 4. Make regular observations and optimizations. Whether you're spending $100/month or $1 million/month, daily observation and optimization is key to generating quality leads and saving money. It's so easy to run your ads without making any adjustments, but you won't get your money's worth this way. I added the term “observations” because it is not always necessary to make changes (i.e. optimizations) on a daily basis. Sometimes it's just as important to watch and let your campaigns run. Taking notes on these observations ensures that your account is in sync and will help you determine next steps. 5. Trust reports. Please do n't just talk about reporting. In fact, you have to. Philippines Photo Editor Regularly. I get it — reports can be tedious and time-consuming, but they're also extremely necessary and valuable. One of the most important things about paid advertising is knowing what results you get from your ad spend. It will help you know what works and what doesn't - and it's better to find out immediately rather than months later. Plus, the more data you provide, the happier your executives and managers will be.

It is crucial to measure the entire journey, from click to conversion. Full reporting is only possible if tracking is properly configured. Also, measurement and tracking should be one of the first things you need to consider when getting into paid advertising. Wedding Photo Editing Although it's not always easy to do, it's essential, so find the time and think about it. Here's how to do it right. 6. Employee social networks What do my colleagues have to do with the savings on paid advertising? Listen to me. Paid advertising is a great way to deliver content to your target audiences and build brand awareness, but it comes at a cost. But if you can leverage employees to organically distribute content to their networks, it will not only dramatically increase your brand's reach, Wedding Photo Editing but also its remarketing lists. Why? Because 76% of people say they're more likely to trust content shared by "normal" people than content shared by brands, which makes sense. Who are you most likely to trust a product recommendation from: a friend, colleague, or acquaintance? Or the company that makes this product? When employees share company content with their networks, it means that every click generated by their posts is of higher quality. And more qualified leads in your pipeline mean better results with improved cost per conversion and lower average cost per click. But, if you have the above, paid advertising can be a great addition to your overall marketing strategy. I worked in paid advertising for a while, and it's clear to me now that a lot of expenses are wasted if not managed properly. So if you don't have the resources or time to commit to a paid advertising strategy, consider alternatives to paid advertising. T-Shirt Design service Alternatives to Paid Ads Paid advertising can be very expensive, especially if not done well. So it's a good idea to ask, "Are there alternatives to paid ads?" While this list is certainly not definitive, here are a few we use at EveryoneSocial. Advertising by e-mail It can be one of your most powerful marketing platforms and can help you deliver highly targeted messages to your audience. We've launched a live webinar series called Employee Advocacy Hour, and registrants only need to register once to attend each month. T-Shirt Design service Employee influencer platforms Employee influencer programs allow employees to create and share company content on their social networks. It gives your employees the tools to improve their personal brands and become influencers. And as a bonus, they can cost up to 90% less than paid ads! Related : EveryoneSocial's clients generated over $200 million in media value in the first half of 2021 alone - without paid ads. Here's how . How much does paid advertising cost? I get this question all the time. T-Shirt Design service The simple answer is that it varies. There are industry standard reports that are good to refer to if you want to see how you compare, but even these can be misleading. Every business is different, which is why you need to do your research. Many ad platforms will provide you with cost-per-click estimates, but here's a secret from a paid advertising specialist: not all of them are accurate, and you shouldn't base your budgeting/planning on these estimates alone.

These estimates can be great guides to help you make the best guesses, but I don't recommend placing bets based on them. I will explain my reasoning. One important thing to know about paid advertising cost per click estimates is that they are only estimates in the loosest sense of the word. Shadow Making Service You can get keyword estimates, but you'll often notice that when you're running your ad campaigns, the cost-per-click estimates are way off the mark. Why? Because these cost estimates do not take into account many factors. These cost-per-click models won't know your exact campaign strategy until you actually launch a campaign . Many variables affect your actual cost per click or cost per impression, such as competitor keyword bids, landing page experience, Shadow Making Service and audience targeting, to name a few. Don't get me wrong, I always use each ad platform's cost estimates in my planning. But the best method is to take these estimates and incorporate them into your campaigns. You can then test variations of your audience targeting, ads, and keyword bids to get a feel for the cost of running paid ad campaigns. Paid ads to win? Saving money in paid advertising is achievable when you have the time, the resources, and a specialist who knows the ins and outs of each platform. Shadow Making Service Optimizing your paid ads for each channel may take some time, but it will be well worth it. However, while paid ads can be a winning strategy for many businesses, it's not for everyone. With the rising costs of digital advertising, it may be worth exploring alternatives to paid advertising that can help you target the same audiences *cough cough* as an employed influencer platform.

From creating better marketing experiences for customers to improving the employee experience, it's increasingly important to connect work to a purpose that goes beyond profit and revenue. One of the best articles I always remember reading was by Chris Pirillo who wrote about ways to eliminate the "echo chamber". Remove Background Image This is an article that I'm sure many bloggers will find a challenge (I know I did). Here are his main points (in bold) with some comments from me (the stuff not in bold) on some of them. I'm not sure I'd be as extreme as Chris suggests - but there's food for thought in the list and I suspect that implementing some of his suggestions would add new dimensions to a blog (and perhaps would even help a bit with the echo chamber thing too): Remove Background Image 1. Don't live inside your news aggregator In fact, I was thinking yesterday that my news aggregator and social media feeds had become way too central to my blog. While I love how it helps me keep my finger on the pulse of many aspects of life, I occasionally worry that it has the potential to suck up my creativity as a blogger because it's very easy to use as a lead generation machine and allow it to determine a lot of what you post on your blogs. You should also be aware that the algorithms powering these platforms are simply offering you more of the same than what you have previously found interesting and interacted with. Remove Background Image 2. Say something original at least once a day. – One of the results of living in your news aggregator and being a slave to algorithms is that it's easy to get lazy and recycle other people's news and ideas – at the expense of exercising your own brain and the development of some original ideas of your own.

I have nothing against bouncing on other people's ideas (I do now), but starting conversations rather than just replying to others or reporting on conversations others start can lead bloggers to a type fairly one-dimensional blog. Real Estate Photo Editing Service 3. If warranted, cite an "unknown" source Chris is spot on with that. It's easy to just read A-listers and use them as the source for a story, but the fact is, there are plenty of other talented bloggers out there saying similar things that deserve attention as well. This is of course a challenge (as are all the other 9 points) as it can be difficult to find the quality "unknown source", partly because no one links them (hence they are unknown). Real Estate Photo Editing I guess what I mean is that sometimes it takes a bit of work to find them - but it's worth it when you do. 4. Do not link to the same site more than once every two weeks I'm not sure about imposing a time limit, but the underlying principle is sound. I hesitate to say this (to sound arrogant and not mean to offend) but I've come across a number of blogs that link to ProBlogger in almost every post. Real Estate Photo Editing It's almost like reading ProBlogger itself, they refer to it so much. Now - I'm very grateful for the links and I'm flattered by them (really I am) but I also want to tell these bloggers (and sometimes I have) that maybe it would be good not only to respond to what I write but to find other sources of stories as well. If their readers just wanted to read ProBlogger stories, they would subscribe to ProBlogger.

This story goes back to when my eldest son now 15 was just a toddler and I gave a speech at BlogWorld Expo, where I shared how my son reminded me of a principle power of successful blogging. Raster to Vector Conversion Service So many people have since told me how much they enjoyed and were touched by the story that I thought I should share it again here on the blog. I hope you appreciate the wisdom of my four-year-old son. Transcript of "Tell the World Something Important" About three months ago now, I was sitting here at my desk, typing, blogging, and it was in the afternoon - around three-thirty, four o'clock. Now, at my place, around three-thirty, four o'clock, things get a little crazy. I have a four-and-a-half-year-old boy and a two-and-a-half-year-old boy. Raster to Vector Conversion And in the afternoon, after sleeping and after a long day, they can get a little silly. So at this time of day, I would normally hear, you know, a little bit of screaming, a little bit of screaming. And sometimes I would hear footsteps running down the hallway to my room and see the door slam open and all kinds of conflicts would happen in my offices. The cords are ripped out and my kids are demanding that I make videos of them, and all sorts of things and it's a fun but also kinda crazy time of the afternoon. Raster to Vector Conversion That day, things turned out a little differently, however. I heard footsteps walking down the hallway to my room but there were no shouting or screaming or laughing or laughing. It was just those quiet little footsteps passing down the hall. And then I heard the doorknob creak and the door slowly open. And out of the corner of my eye,

I saw Xavier, my four-year-old son, standing in the doorway. I didn't look around me: I wanted to see what he would do. He got down on his knees very gently and gently, then he got down on his stomach and he started crawling up to my room. Photo Retouching Service Now Xavier has this perception that if he can't see you, you can't see him. And so he had his head buried low so he couldn't see me and he started crawling around the room. And he crawled up my right side, and then he crawled past my desk in plain sight for me, but he thought he wouldn't be seen. Then he crawled on either side of me, then he got up very slowly and carefully behind me. Again, I could kind of see it out of the corner of my eye and I could feel its presence there on my left shoulder, and it stayed there for 30 or 40 seconds as I continued to type. I was trying to finish a blog post before whatever happened. Photo Retouching Service And while I was sitting there writing, he just watched. And after a moment or two, I felt him lean over me, and I felt him start breathing down my neck and into my ear. And as he leaned over, he just whispered in my ear, "Dad, what are you doing?" and then he leaned back. Now, I don't know if you've ever tried to describe blogging to a four-year-old. It's not something I really know how to do, so I just said "I'm writing a message to the world". And he seemed to accept that. Photo Retouching Service Again there was silence for a moment or two and again he leaned over to me and said "Dad, make sure you tell the world something important." And then he leaned back and he got back on his knees and he crawled back in front of me and he walked out the door and closed the door behind him. And it was kind of a weird little moment.

On the one hand, I wasn't sure why he wasn't in his hyper normal mood, but as I started to think about what he actually said to me, it was kind of, it was a time that I actually found quite difficult as I started to think about what kind of blogs I was writing and what information I was putting there. Photo Restoration Service tell the world something important I've been blogging for eight years now and always wanted to tell the world something important. I always had the motivation to try to help people. But as a person who also lives from it, there are these other motivations. You want to make money from it. You want to build some credibility and you want to build your profile. And so all these other motivations creep in. And so for me, that little moment when he whispered, "Tell the world something important" - for me, that was a bit of a tough moment because I started thinking, Photo Restoration Service "Yeah, that's so true ". It's the reason I got into blogging in the first place, but it's also the secret to any success I think I've had…success I've had. The times I've told the world something important rather than something that I think might pay off are the times when things start to take off for me. The times when you're solving people's problems, when you're doing and saying things that matter. These are the times when people seem to react the most, and these are the times when profits are actually down – for me, in my experience, at least. Photo Restoration Service And so I guess my message to you as I say a message to the world today is to keep that in mind. On the one hand, it's much more satisfying to be a blogger who actually says something important,

that makes a difference. But second, a successful blog is actually built on that. If you're actually doing something that matters to people, if you're doing something that's real and has a real impact on people's lives in some way, you're much more likely to start a blog than people will notice, and people will trust, and people will keep coming back. Logo Designs service So, from the mouths of babies, from the mouths of my former little guy but now bigger than me Xavier, I encourage you to keep that in your focus. Tell the world something important. Today I want to share one last way to let your blog go to complete our 10 part series. This is something that has almost brought my own blog to a standstill at times. Problem Taking on too many projects and stretching too lightly. There is a fine line between: 1. Diversify your blogging interests so you have a number of income streams to help you overcome the downtime that most blogs suffer fromand 2. Having so many blogs moving, or too much going on in your blog, that they start to suffer from the fact that you can't focus on them. Logo Designs service The Diversification Argument I've written numerous times about how it makes sense to branch out when it comes to blogging for money (for example here in my post 18 Lessons I Learned About Blogging). Diversification makes sense on many levels, including: Multiple blogs (wise because most blogs have their ups and downs in terms of traffic, revenue, search engine rankings, etc.)Income stream (not putting all your eggs in the AdSense basket) Logo Designs service Activities/income streams other than blogging (look outside of blogging to find other ways to supplement your blogging income)Diversifying your interests is a smart move - ask any financial adviser and you'll find that the advice will almost always be to hedge your bets and invest in multiple areas so that when a market fails you don't lose everything.

Today, 82% of marketers use content marketing, Jewelry Photo Retouching Service over 40% of marketers say content is a very important part of their strategy, and 70% plan to continue to actively invest in it for the long term. However, if content marketing is such a big deal now, why does so much of it still seem clearly anarchic? and it's also the mind-killer of many content workflows. Instead of approval being a nebulous process of submitting, editing, reviewing, critiquing, and a bit of pleading, you've given your approver specific goals to think about during the review .
